Green Fashion Contest

Parkson has launched the “Go Green Fashion Contest”, a design competition to encourage the community as well as the youth to protect our environment.

This is the first time in Vietnam, where a design competition is inspired by a “green” theme and has taken the criteria of eco friendliness and recycled materials as the core contest conditions. It is therefore thought for competitors who not only love fashion but are also concerned about the human impact on ecology.
As there are no limits for participation, everyone who is interested in the above mentioned is more than welcome to join this nationwide competition.

Candidates need to submit three self-created designs, of which each has to be named. They also have to explain the specific idea(s) behind their designs, as well as providing specifications about the material used in their collection to prove that it is recyclable, re-usable and safe to the environment.

The first round of the contest, in which the designs must be submitted to Parkson’s Head Office at 35 bis - 45 Le Thanh Ton, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, HCMC, has already started. The Head Office of Parkson Vietnam will kindly receive design layouts until 20^th April 2011.

After that, a total of 15 designed layouts will be selected for participating in the second round taking place on 26^th Apr 2011. The chosen 15 contestants will be invited to present their collection as well as answering a few questions in presence of the contest’s jury. After the presentation, the jury will select the best five candidates, which are going to take part in the final round.

The five shortlisted collections will be produced and featured on a Fashion show on 7^th May 2011, where the contest’s winner will be announced and the prizes awarded thereafter.

- The first prize has a value of 20 million VND.
- The second prize has a value of 15 million VND.
- The third prize has a value of 10 million VND.
- The ranks 4 and 5 will both receive consolidation prizes, each worth 5 million VND.
