Parkson inaugurates 72-storey Landmark tower


Malaysia’s top retailer, Parkson, on late December 2 put a new trade centre at Landmark 72, Vietnam’s tallest tower with 72 floors in Cau Giay district, Hanoi, into operation.


Parkson Landmark 72 has a total area of retail space of over 35,600 square meters with scale of five floors and is divided into separate business areas including display and sales of cosmetics, perfumes and fashion brands of Vietnam and in the world together with area for food, supermarket and other services.

 

With an investment of up to $10 million, Parkson Landmark 72 will be managed by Parkson Vietnam Management Services Ltd Co.

 

This event also marks the new development of Parkson in Vietnam’s Northern market and raises the number of trade centres with Parkson brand in Vietnam up to 8 centres.


According to the investor, this place promises to be a busy and luxury entertainment and trade centre in the capital city of Hanoi, serving the demand for shopping, recreation and leisure for a community of nearly 100,000 residents in the west area of Hanoi.

 

According to General Statistics Office (GSO), younger consumers accounting for 70% of the population are helping Vietnam become one of the most attractive retail markets in the world.

 

 Hanoi is the retail centre of the northern region with sales of nearly 80% of total retail sales of the northern region with 28.2% growth in 2010, according to Parkson. – Vietbiz24
