MOVE WITH THE EXCITING RHYTHM HIP-HOP DANCE WITH PARKSON CUP 2012

The exciting rhythm of Hip-hop dance is no longer just a type of dance to Vietnamese youth, it has become a passion and lifestyle of many young Vietnamese. With the effort of supporting Vietnamese youth expressing themselves and showcase their style through the energetic steps of Hip-hop, Parkson Vietnam in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City is hosting the Hip-hop Dance Contest Open 2012. The contest previous has received lots of support and participation of many young Vietnamese who passionate about the exciting rhythm of Hip-hop in Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi.

During its six years in Vietnam, Parkson has not only been the leading company in bringing the latest fashion trends, beauty care and lifestyle, but also been organizing social activities which aim to improving the quality of life of Vietnamese community. Hip-hop Dance 2012 is also an important part of Parkson’s effort in supporting the community.

This year Parkson’s Hip-hop Dance contest will be hosted at two places, Ho Chi Minh Hip-hop Contest – Parkson 3rd annual Flemington Cup, Ha Noi Hip-hop Contest – 1st Parkson Cup. These exciting contest will be happing on three consecutive nights, starting from May 18th at Parkson Landmark ( Ha Noi) and on May 22nd at Parkson Flemington ( Ho Chi Minh). This year contest has attracted nearly 50 teams from all over Ho Chi Minh, Ha Noi and surrounding areas.

Hip-hop is a movement in Vietnam, it has attracted a large part of young Vietnamese. The dance does not only require high level of creativity in chirography and music, but also requires a great physical talent. Hip-hop helps create a safe and healthy playing field, which helps encourage young Vietnamese to become more active and confident in expressing themselves. Understand the role of hip-hop dance and its positive effects on young people, Parkson Vietnam has continuously held Hip-hop Dance Contest for the three years, which has always receive great participation of young Vietnamese artists.

The citeria of this year contest is similar to that of previous years, participating teams can compete in 2 categories, showcase – competing level of creativity and B-Boy – demonstrating the level of difficulty in technicality of the dance moves. Awards, valued over 100,000,000 VND will be given to the young and talented dancers.
